We are excited to offer open studio night for fusers!  For a $30.00 fee we will provide you with access to the tools and space in the shop as well as one kiln firing of your piece, up to 1 sq. foot.  Larger pieces and additional firings will be individually assessed.  We will provide ideas and demo's each week and have hands on support with two instructors, Our glass molds will also be available for your projects at an additional fee. Beginner to expert, ages 13 and up.

Organic Stainless Steel Mold Workshop

Take your glass to a NEW level.  Learn to fabricate your own organic, whimsical stainless steel mold for slumping.  You will be bending and pop riveting your own mold.  The mold will accommodate approximately 14” or larger depending on your design.  After lunch you will choose to design a bowl or create a coral sea bowl using clear iridescent ripple art glass.

We will provide the table top stand, 2 - 16” F96 glass rounds, F96 pebbles and F96 scrap glass to create your one of a kind bird bath.

Yard Art - Copper Trellis with a Fused Glass Weave Panel

The newest yard art project! Have you wanted to learn to work with copper pipe? In this workshop you learn how to measure, cut and sweat solder copper pipe to create a trellis for your beautiful fused glass panel. Day 1 you will create a fused weave panel for your trellis and Day 2 you will build your trellis and wire in your fused panel.

You will be building a trellis that will have one weave panel.  If you wish to upgrade to a second panel it will be an additional $45.00

Mosaics

Learn the art of working with Italian Millefiori, cane and slices. You will construct a mosaic mirror for an interior location. Construction techniques for the direct method such as preparing the base/support structure, choosing adhesives, applying the grout will be taught. Finishing touches will insure a professional look to your beautiful piece of art.

Pre-requisite: Meet with instructor prior to class to pick up template. You will need to have your design drawn out on your template * and most of your glass nipped up or cut. You can also include other found objects in your project as well. In the past, some students have used dishes, tiles, shells, and beads. Be creative!

Note: Choose between a 12” x 15” rectangle or
            a 8” round plywood base.

Ceramic & Glass 3-D Floral Mosaic - New!

Create a hanging 3-D mosaic glass and ceramic vase of flowers for your home, primarily using stained glass and broken china & ceramic pieces (plates, cups, bowls, etc. of various colors). Bring tile, beads, wood (dry and shellacked), wire, shells, etc., it's entirely up to you and your creative brain. It's the perfect way to re-purpose those chipped and broken dishes and create a lovely work of art for you home. Hope to see you there!

Pre-requisite:  Mosaic and glass cutting skills are recommended.  Some experience working with thin set and grout will be helpful, but not necessary.
